One of the richest man in Taiwan, Gou Tai-Ming (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_Gou), just bought the top 3 floors of a residential highrise (yet to be built) in the Tamshui area of Taiwan. Each floor is about 470 ping (or 16694.825 sq. ft.). That's almost the size of an official NHL ice skating rink. The average Taiwanese people live in apartments that are about 30 pings. It's hard to imagine the mindset of a multi-billionaire. I always thought rich people would want to be low key. It's not like Mr. Gou doesn't have beautiful homes already. This significant real estate purchase sounds like his ego speaking. To each his own.
I was born in Taiwan, but I did most of my growing up in Canada and the United States. Now that I'm married with 2 children and living in Los Angeles, I would like to share my experience of creating a Taiwanese heritage for my children as well as providing a fun and memorable childhood for them.
我是一位在台灣出生,美加長大、受教育的媽媽。婚後定居於美國洛杉磯。
